Luke Bryan Milwaukee reviews
He's still got it, but...
"I must admit, watching the show with a young girl next to me was different, through that parenting lens. Alice's showmanship was great, as always. Overall, we had a great time - Luke Bryan rocked it. My 12 year old stepdaughter, who had never heard of him before, is hooked. His songs and stage show both have elements of sexism that I have always overlooked, but they stood out more to me when I knew my kid was watching them. And then the whole "straightjacket" story line... she and I both struggle with mental health issues, and again, while this never bothered me before, watching it with her was cringey. I guess this is what being a parent does to you - you see dangers you never saw before, from electrical outlets and cleaning products, to sexism and ableism. I don't know if his stage show has ever really significantly changed, but yet it never gets old. Love Luke Bryan, can't wait to see him again. His band is an amazing bunch of musicians, the effects were incredible. My kiddo was especially amused by the number of costume changes - "He's putting on ANOTHER jacket?? How many is that now??" LOL."
